겨울이 오면 곰은 겨울 잠에 깊게 잠듭니다. 하지만 크립토 베어장은 잠들 수가 없습니다. 크립토 겨울은 진정한 혁명가들에게 오히려 새로운 기회를 가져다주듯, 한 산업의 대표주자가 된 논스 출신 기업들 역시 모두 겨울에 태어났습니다. 이번 겨울은 누구 차례일까요? 

오는 2023년 겨울, 크립토씬에 새로운 혁명을 가져올 빌더들을 위한 3개월 특별 프로그램인 '이머젼 하우스'를 여러분께 소개합니다.


Bears usually sleep in winter - but for some, it’s a chance to deep-dive and become bulls for the next spring. Just like our alumni below who kept They HODLing and BUIDLing through multiple crypto-winters, we are looking for new builders to become the next leaders in the industry. This winter, we're opening ‘Immersion House’ for 16 new builders in 2023 Q1 batch.




근데, 논스가 뭐하는 곳이길래요?

Wait, but what is nonce?


논스는 미래 혁명가들의 베이스캠프입니다. 크립토 스타트업의 인큐베이팅 커뮤니티로 널리 알려진 논스는 150여명의 논숙자들과 총 7개의 건물에서 함께 주거하고 일하는 창업가들의 마을이기도 합니다. 블록체인에서는 새로운 블록을 형성하기 위해 수없이 반복해서 필수적으로 찾아야하는 임시의 숫자값을 논스라고 부릅니다. 이러한 어원처럼 저희는 미래의 혁명가들이 무한한 가능성을 펼칠수 있도록 이들의 꿈을 해독하는(선별하고, 연결하며, 성장시키는) 모든 역할을 합니다.


A basecamp for future rebels. While also known as the crypto-startup incubator community, we are a town of 150+ members co-living & co-working in seven buildings. Inspired by the cryptographic term 'nonce' — an unknown yet critical number that cryptographers decode to generate the next blocks —  our community curates, connects, and cultivates every dreamer to decrypt their infinite possibilities against all odds.

About the Immersion House



1) 빌더들만의, 빌더들에 의해, 빌더들을 위해 만들어진 신규 하우스 & 프로그램


웹3 세계에 완전히 몰입할 16명의 빌더들만을 특별 선별하며 (Curate), 커뮤니티 네트워크의 연결을 통한 팀빌딩과 1대1 맨토 선정 (Connect), 단단한 초석을 다지기 위한 맞춤형 교육 커리큘럼, 논스 장학금 제도, 글로벌 크립토 해커톤 진출 지원, 논스 데모'위크' 등 모든 성장 (Cultivate)을 위한 아낌없는 지원을 합니다.

2) 빌더란 과연 어떤 사람들일까요? 


좁은 의미로는 개발, 디자인 등의 스킬셋을 지닌 사람들로 국한지을 수 있겠지만, 논스가 추구하는 빌더란 능력을 넘어 특유의 멘탈리티(DNA)를 지닌 사람들입니다. 각자의 뚜렷한 미션과 비전, 그리고 이를 실현시키기 위한 잠재력이 있다면 이미 준비된 빌더라고 믿습니다. 엔지니어, 디자이너, 기획자, 창업가이던, 본인 프로젝트에 풀타임이던 파트타임이던, 주니어이던 시니어던, 학생이던 자퇴생이던 중요하지 않습니다. 가장 중요한 건, 저희는 당신의 꿈을 담을 준비가 되어있다는 점이죠.


1) 웹3 세계에서 필요한 프로젝트 / 프로덕트 / 프로토콜을 실험하고 성장시키고픈,
2) 완벽한 케미의 공동창업자와 투자자(혹은 어드바이저)를 찾고픈, 

3) 3개월간 방해금지모드로 완전 몰입할 환경을 찾는 16명의 빌더들을 환영합니다. 

물론, 논스 커뮤니티 맴버로서 도전정신, 진정성, 그리고 정을 나누는 것도 포함입니다!



2) Who: We seek builders who would be the next leaders.


When we say 'builders', it's just more than your skillsets. It's your mindset that matters  - just like your innate mentality to build the future you desire. Whether you are an engineer, designer, or PM; junior or senior; part-timer or full-timer for your project; student or drop-out; it doesn't matter. We welcome all builders with their own mission, vision, and potential (MVP).


  • We are looking for 16 individuals who desire to:

    • build, launch, and grow their projects in web3
    • find their soulmates from co-founders to investors
    • deep-dive with ‘do not disturb’ mode on for 3 months

  • Also those with the core values of nonce community:

    • Challenging the Status Quo (도전정신)
    • Sincerity (진정성)
    • Love for Humanity (정)

3) 모든 라이프스타일을 논스 마을에서. 


논스는 더 많은 혁명가들의 터전이 되기 위해 끊임없는 확장을 합니다. 작은 블록체인 교육 유튜브 채널에서부터 역삼동 한가운데의 크립토 마을까지 성장한 논스는 4년간 60개가 넘는 스타트업과 400여명의 논숙자들이 7개의 건물에서 함께 성장하고 있습니다. 이머젼하우스 역시 빌더들과 창업가들이 꿈의 라이프스타일을 공유하게끔 설계되고 있습니다.4개의 침실, 루프탑, 지하 해커 라운지, 휴식 라운지, 주방, 작전 회의실, 차고지 등.. 참고로, 논스의 다른 호점들은 이렇게 생겼어요!



3) Where: it’s all in the nonce town.


More buildings mean more homes for more rebels. From a single YouTube channel to a multi-building townhouse in Gangnam, we witnessed the rise of 60+ startups with 400+ rebels, and multiple buildings, only in 4 years. Immersion House will be added along as the 8th official building of the nonce town. The interior is under construction and it will be open to our applicants as soon as possible. But if you are curious, here are some sneak peeks and references to other nonce buildings!

조기 신청 ~ 12/15, 2022 (목) (마감)

이머젼 하우스 프로그램의 공식 시작일은 2023년 1월 1일입니다. 합격 통지를 받는 대로 사전 입주가 가능합니다.



4) When: Date for application


Early Registration: ~ 12/15, 2022 (Thursday) (Closed)

Regular Registration: ~ 12/23, 2022 (Friday) (Closed) 

Late Registration: ~ 12/31, 2022 (Saturday) 

 

The Immersion House program will kick off on January 1st, 2023. Applicants can start living in advance once passed through our curation process.

5) 지원 절차


1: 입주 지원서를 작성해주세요! 타입폼 후반부에 이머젼 하우스 전용 질문이 있습니다.
1.5: 논스 큐레이션 위원회 (nCC)에서 꼼꼼히 리뷰한 뒤 회신드립니다. 

2: 작성해주신 이야기를 기반으로 찐한 티타임 인터뷰를 가지고 나면, 며칠 뒤 논스 측에서 결과를 공유 드립니다. 

3: 모든 과정에 합격하시면 입주 날짜를 조율합니다. 축하합니다!


5) How: The application process is followed as below.


1. (Essay) Tell us about your story on the Application Page. Extra questions are followed for Immersion House applicants at the end of the form.
1.5. The nonce Curation Committee (nCC) will sincerely read your story and contact you.

2. (Interview) We will have a deep and sweet interview.  The nCC will notify the results shortly afterward. 

3. (Live) Arrange the date and start living & building!

Q&As

Q: Is the program free?

A: The rents are around 800,000 won per month. But we are preparing a lot of financial support programs (grants and scholarships) for certified builders.


Q: Can I join with my friend / teammate(s)?

A: We welcome all, as long as they all pass the curation process (will all be taken individually)


Q: How can I still live in nonce when the 3-month batch ends?

A: Of course! You can move to other houses in nonce (if there are spots), or take another batch on 2023Q2.


Q: Can I still join the program even if I'm not living in the Immersion House?

A: It may be hard as the program will be tailor-made to the 16 selected members within the house. But we will find ways to make some events open for all.


Q: How's incubation different from acceleration?

A: While acceleration is focused on making one to ten, incubation is more focused on making zero to one.
